On Tuesday, 11 December 2007 the Final Conference of the BEEN Project was held in the historic “Kesselhaus” of the UKB Marzahn.
The conference was opened by the Berlin State Secretary for Building and Housing, Ms Dunger-Löper and Dr Lütke-Daldrup, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs as well as the Jurate Juozaitiene, State Secretary in the Lithuanian Ministry of Environment.
Altogether more than 90 participants from the BEEN partner countries and guests from Hungary, England and China attended the event. The guest from the country most far away was Mr Xu from China, who presented the GTZ project in Tangshan.
During the conference the results of the project were presented in detail. In addition, representatives from the EU commission, the German housing sector and from banks and respective associations took the occasion to discuss the use of EU structural funds for national refurbishment programmes.
